I've been so out of the loop lately because of my blogging absence that I didn't even see that Ziggy was adopted! I'm really glad to hear this, but I'm hoping that things will get better for him in his new home.

Wonderful news on all of these adoptions! It's amazing how a dog like Oscar can endure such horror and still manage to love humans.

Now, Zigs, straighten up and fly right! We're all crossing our paws that he will settle in. I'm banking on Ziggy, especially since his new human is so willing to make it work. He just needs a little extra time.

C'mon Ziggy!! Sinatra went through a little naughty spell in his new home, but working with a trainer straightened him out. Hopefully Ziggy just needs time and structure, and his new person wounds like he's willing to give him that. Good luck!

Really praying that Ziggy eventually settles in. Don't blow it Ziggy! So glad that his new human is working so hard to try and make it work. Thank you dog foster mom and thank you to all those who adopt from rescues and shelters and know the value of working with a dog/cat as the aniamls try and adjust to their new surroundings.

OH man, so excited for Ziggy on the one side...so I'm going to channel that into hope that dust will settle (vs. worry that it won't). Some dogs transition so easily and others need a little more evidence that the human on the other end of their leash has life under control enough for them to relax and not act foolish. ;) What kind of aggression is the issue, if we may ask Laurie (human, dog)?

We had a dog get placed once who within 12 hours was growling and snarling at humans--completely against her nature--but the adopter totally stuck it out, worked with a trainer, wooed the dog to make sure she got the message ("Chill gal, I got life handled") and so thankfully all turned out wonderfully and she represents herself, her family and her breed well now. It just wasn't all sunshine and rainbows in the beginning. ;)

Most of these comments will be for Ziggy, but mine is for fostermom. I'm sending her all the positive hopes and thoughts I can send, because I know this is as hard or harder for her than it is for Ziggy. Best of Luck! And Ziggy, behave for goodness sake!

Sounds like Ziggy's new owner is doing everything he can for him. Hopefully, all that is going on is the fact that Ziggy is a little scared in his new environment and will adjust shortly. I am keeping my fingers crossed for him.

And great news on the other adoptions. I can never understand or comprehend how people can be so cruel to animals. But now Oscar will receive the respect and love he deserves.

Oh Ziggy, we're rooting for you buddy. I can't imagine what a tough transition it is going to a new home even for dogs who are totally easy going and carefree. I'm so glad his new person is working with a trainer to try and make it work. Clearly, he believes in Ziggy and we do too. (Plus he looks so darn handsome in that collar! How precious is he?!)
